To enhance employees' fire safety awareness and emergency response capabilities, the company organized an annual fire drill for all staff. The exercise covered fire alarms, evacuation procedures, fire extinguisher operation, and safety training, effectively reinforcing corporate safety defenses.
At 15:00, the drill simulated an electrical short circuit causing fire on the office building's second floor, triggering smoke alarms. The company's safety command immediately activated emergency protocols. The evacuation team guided employees to bend low, cover their mouths and noses, and exit orderly via safety routes to designated assembly points. The fire suppression team quickly extinguished the initial blaze using dry powder extinguishers, while the rescue team simultaneously checked for casualties and administered first aid. The entire process took 3 minutes and 12 seconds, with over 100 employees safely evacuated without crowding or stampeding, achieving the expected results.
Post-drill, safety officers demonstrated the four-step fire extinguisher operation method ("Lift, Pull, Grip, Squeeze") using an oil pan simulation. Employees from all departments practiced the technique. The training also analyzed prevention measures for hazards like electric vehicle charging and aging electrical equipment, referencing recent high-rise fire incidents.
The safety supervisor emphasized: "Safety precedes development. This drill revealed issues like improper evacuation techniques, which will be addressed through targeted training."
